An entomologist takes on the 1970s New Zealand Government uncovering institutional racism and child abuse.

Director: Alex Sutherland
Alex’s screen arts career spans over twenty years. With an MFA from Elam School of Fine Arts, Alex directed award-winning music videos before directing TV commercials for leading NZ production companies Film Construction and Silverscreen. In 2007 Alex co-founded Thick as Thieves – a boutique visual content production company that became synonymous for attracting breakthrough filmmaking talent and developing some of New Zealand’s newest and exciting directorial voices. In 2015, Alex’s Loading Docs short documentary ‘The Jump’, gained worldwide attention, with over 190,000 views online and screening in festivals including Clermont-Ferrand.
